Franz Wagner
Franz Wagner (ankle) remains out Wednesday
Tue, Jan 27, 2026, 10:28 AM
Franz Wagner (ankle) is out for Wednesday's game against the Heat.
Analysis: Wagner is set to miss his fourth consecutive game. The 24-year-old small forward is listed as out for high left ankle sprain injury management reasons. Anthony Black will continue to start and should be rostered in standard formats until Wagner returns.
Anthony Black
Anthony Black has 14 points in loss to Cleveland
Mon, Jan 26, 2026, 4:20 PM
Anthony Black finished Monday's loss to the Cavaliers with 14 points (6-of-14 FGs), four rebounds, five assists, three steals, one block and two three-pointers.
Analysis: Black had a fairly balanced performance in Monday's rematch with the Cavaliers. In 37 minutes, he was impactful on the defensive end and totaled four stocks, while inefficient shooting from beyond the arc limited his scoring production. Still, the third-year guard out of Arkansas finished as one of three Orlando players to score in double figures, and he was one of the team's best passers in the loss. Fantasy managers, however, should be craving more from Black, based on some of the heights he reached earlier this season.
Desmond Bane
Desmond Bane scores 19 Monday in loss to CLE
Mon, Jan 26, 2026, 4:12 PM
Desmond Bane produced 19 points (7-of-17 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, one steal, one block and three three-pointers in the loss to the Cavaliers on Monday.
Analysis: Bane followed Saturday's 20-point performance in a loss to Cleveland with similar production on Monday. The first-year Magic guard was productive from beyond the arc and, in his 38 minutes, finished as the Magic's second-leading scorer for the game. Yet Bane went without an assist for the first time all season, and with his unspectacular assist total and pair of stocks, he didn't provide fantasy managers with much production. He'll have a chance to put up a better line on Wednesday against the Heat.
Paolo Banchero
Paolo Banchero drops 37 points in loss to Cavs
Mon, Jan 26, 2026, 4:05 PM
Paolo Banchero notched 37 points (13-of-21 FGs, 9-of-13 FTs), 10 rebounds, four assists and two three-pointers in the loss to the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Banchero did what he could to try to get the Magic back on track. Yet, his highest-scoring game of January wasn't enough to end the Magic's losing streak, which is now at four games. Banchero's season high in points on Monday came on a blend of three-pointers, shots inside the arc, and production from the free-throw line. On top of his scoring outburst, he reached double figures in rebounds to secure his 14th double-double of the season. Regardless of whether Orlando can get back on track or not, it's clear that Banchero will continue to deliver strong production from a fantasy basketball standpoint.
Franz Wagner
Franz Wagner (ankle) out Monday vs. Cleveland
Sun, Jan 25, 2026, 7:52 AM
NBA Injury Report
Franz Wagner (ankle) is out for Monday's game against the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Monday's game will be the third that Wagner has missed, with the description being changed from “left ankle soreness” to “high left ankle sprain injury management.” Before Saturday's loss to the Cavaliers, Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley said Wagner did some light, non-contact shooting during the pregame shootaround. As long as Wagner is out, Anthony Black will start, and he should be rostered in standard leagues.
Paolo Banchero
Banchero leads Magic with 27 points in defeat
Sat, Jan 24, 2026, 3:41 PM
Paolo Banchero amassed a team-high 27 points (7-of-14 FGs, 10-of-12 FTs), five rebounds and two assists over 38 minutes during Saturday's loss to the Cavaliers.
Analysis: It's been a frustrating season for Banchero and the Magic as they've consistently struggled to generate enough offense to turn things around. The 23-year-old playmaker has scored at least 20 points in seven of 10 games since Janaury 1, but the Magic are just 4-6 overall during that span. He's dropped from 25.9 points per-game last season to just 21.1 through 34 contests this season. The Magic have a rematch against the Cavaliers on Monday before facing the Heat, Raptors and Spurs to close out a four-game week.
Desmond Bane
Bane scores 20 points in loss to Cavaliers
Sat, Jan 24, 2026, 3:40 PM
Desmond Bane tallied 20 points (7-of-14 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, three assists and two steals over 38 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Orlando's marquee offseason addition, Bane has been a consistent scoring threat, averaging 18.9 points through 44 games in his Magic debut. The 27-year-old guard has struggled from three-point range this season and was just 2-of-6 from downtown in this one. Simply put, Bane and Banchero haven't supplied enough from an offensive standpoint which makes it critical to get Franz Wagner (ankle) back as quickly as possible.
Jalen Suggs
ORL starts Suggs, Black, Bane, Banchero, Carter
Sat, Jan 24, 2026, 12:38 PM
Jason Beede
Jalen Suggs, Anthony Black, Desmond Bane, Paolo Banchero and Wendell Carter Jr. will start Saturday's game against the Cavaliers.
Analysis: After missing Orlando's last eight games, Suggs is available and will be in the starting lineup. He isn't officially under a minutes restriction, but some precautions could be taken with the guard's playing time. Tristan da Silva will head to the bench, which lowers his fantasy ceiling.
Jalen Suggs
Jalen Suggs (knee) available Saturday vs. CLE
Sat, Jan 24, 2026, 11:23 AM
NBA Injury Report
Jalen Suggs (knee) is available for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers.
Analysis: After an eight-game absence, Suggs is available for the Magic. His return will likely push Tristan da Silva to the bench, but fantasy managers should plan for Suggs' minutes to be restricted.
Jalen Suggs
Jalen Suggs (knee) probable vs. Cleveland
Fri, Jan 23, 2026, 11:21 AM
NBA Injury Report
Jalen Suggs (knee) is probable to play against the Cavaliers on Saturday.
Analysis: Suggs has missed Orlando's last eight games, but he is expected to return to take on Cleveland. That will push Tristan da Silva back to the bench after a one-game stint as a starter. Jase Richardson should also lose out on minutes.
Franz Wagner
Franz Wagner (ankle) remains out vs. Cleveland
Fri, Jan 23, 2026, 11:17 AM
NBA Injury Report
Franz Wagner (ankle) has been ruled out against the Cavaliers on Saturday.
Analysis: Wagner will miss a second straight game after playing just two games following a 16-game absence. Anthony Black will remain a starter despite Jalen Suggs (knee) being upgraded to probable. They'll continue to manage this injury as he recovers, but it is slightly alarming that he will miss two games this quickly. Black has been productive as a fill-in.
Paolo Banchero
Banchero puts up 23/7/5 line vs. Charlotte
Thu, Jan 22, 2026, 3:38 PM
Paolo Banchero led the Magic with 23 points (6-of-12 FGs, 9-of-12 FTs), seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and two three-pointers in a 124-97 loss to the Hornets on Thursday.
Analysis: After an inefficient shooting outing on Sunday, Banchero was able to have a better night against Charlotte. Unfortunately, that didn't change the result, and Orlando ended up on the wrong end of another lopsided game. Efficiency has never been a strong suit for Banchero, and that has been the case again this season. However, he is averaging career highs in rebounds and assists, which has made up for a drop in scoring. Next up is a home game against the Cavaliers on Saturday.
Moritz Wagner
Moritz Wagner chips in 14 points off bench
Thu, Jan 22, 2026, 3:29 PM
Moritz Wagner provided a boost off the bench with 14 points (5-of-7 FGs), one rebound, one assist, two steals and two three-pointers on Thursday against the Hornets.
Analysis: Wagner made his season debut less than two weeks ago, so this was his highest scoring performance since 2024. He was an excellent reserve scoring option for the Magic to start last year before tearing his ACL. This was a new season high for him in just 15 minutes. He'll continue to be a reliable scoring option off the bench, but with Wendell Carter Jr. and Goga Bitadze both healthy, he won't play enough minutes to provide value in standard leagues.
Goga Bitadze
Magic open to trading Bitadze, Isaac, and T. Jones
Thu, Jan 22, 2026, 8:22 AM
Clutch Points
Clutch Points' Brett Siegel reports that the Magic are open to trading Goga Bitadze, Jonathan Isaac, and Tyus Jones
Analysis: Bitadze figures to attract the most interest. As Siegel notes, he “is an intriguing center who could fetch multiple second-round picks in a trade and free up salary for [the Magic for] the 2026-27 season in the process.” A package of Bitadze and Jones could be of interest to a team like the Knicks, who are in the market for a true center and a backup point guard, both of whom would need to be strong defenders.
Franz Wagner
Wagner out on Thursday with ankle soreness
Thu, Jan 22, 2026, 8:12 AM
Jason Beede
Franz Wagner is out on Thursday against the Hornets due to left ankle soreness.
Analysis: This is mildly concerning, considering how much time Wagner missed with an ankle injury over the holidays. The team “is going to monitor how he responds to treatment moving forward,” which will determine how long Wagner will be sidelined. Tristan Da Silva should move back into the starting lineup in the meantime.
Jalen Suggs
Jalen Suggs remains out on Thursday
Thu, Jan 22, 2026, 5:52 AM
Jason Beede
Jalen Suggs (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup with the Hornets.
Analysis: Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley said Suggs “came up OK after yesterday's work,” so it doesn't sound like the 24-year-old will be out too much longer. Orlando will see how he feels tomorrow and go from there. His next chance to return will be Saturday at home against the Cavaliers.
Jett Howard
Jett Howard (illness) off the injury report
Wed, Jan 21, 2026, 10:09 AM
NBA Injury Report
Jett Howard (illness) is off the injury report for Thursday's matchup with Charlotte.
Analysis: Howard will be available after sitting out on Sunday against the Grizzlies, but his status does not impact fantasy basketball due to his limited role within Orlando's rotation.
Jalen Suggs
Jalen Suggs (knee) questionable Thursday vs. CHA
Wed, Jan 21, 2026, 9:54 AM
NBA Injury Report
Jalen Suggs (knee) is questionable for Thursday's matchup with the Hornets.
Analysis: Suggs has a chance to return following a seventh straight absence, and he may see a minutes restriction if he's cleared to take the court. Suggs' return will negatively impact the fantasy impact of Tyus Jones and Tristan da Silva, but Anthony Black has played too well to see a major dropoff.
Anthony Black
Anthony Black scores 19 in blowout loss
Sun, Jan 18, 2026, 9:05 AM
Anthony Black finished Sunday's loss to the Grizzlies with 19 points, two rebounds, six assists and two three-pointers across 37 minutes.
Analysis: Blak has been surging lately, and Sunday's final tally - albeit in a loss - was another strong performance. The young guard didn't offer another highlight-reel dunk over four defenders, but he led his team in the scoring department and posted solid peripheral numbers. If he's somehow still available on the waiver wire, make sure to get him on your roster.
Paolo Banchero
Paolo Banchero struggles with shot in loss
Sun, Jan 18, 2026, 8:59 AM
Paolo Banchero scored 16 points on 7-of-20 shooting in Sunday's loss to the Grizzlies, adding eight rebounds, nine assists and one three-pointer.
Analysis: Banchero went 9-of-16 for 26 points in Thursday's win, but he couldn't match that efficiency on Sunday. Fortunately for fantasy managers, Banchero was solid as a rebounder and facilitator, which he has been throughout the 2025-26 campaign. He'll look to get back on track in the scoring department when the Magic host the Hornets on Thursday.
